Our name, Reserva Heitor, has two important meanings. One of them is a reference to quality beyond the average attributed to the coffees produced on our farm; the other is a tribute to our land and legacy, materialized with the intense work of reforestation and recovery of the Cerrado biome held on our property.

Before being acquired in 1994, the farm was dedicated to livestock and there wasn´t any vegetation, only pasture for cattle raising. In the year of its acquisition, the recovery work has started. We reconstructed the cerrado ecosystem, including fauna, flora, soil and water springs. Currently, our farm has all its Permanent Preservation Areas (APP) and Legal Reserve reconstituted and it is a reference for projects of the same scope throughout the region.

In 2009, we started the “Tree Day” project in partnership with Gino André Barbosa Municipal School. Annually, we welcome the students from the school on our farm to a day of learning, experience and leisure. Lectures are given on the environment, walks through the area of recovered vegetation and its water springs, and we end the day with the planting of native trees. Our goal is to raise awareness among children in the community about the importance of preserving natural resources and contributing to the development of citizens with a sustainable vision for the environment.

We have as a principle the production of special coffees allied with respect for the environment and people. For that, we combine our experience with new technologies in coffee production focusing on developing sustainable practices that value ethics, community and the preservation of natural resources. In addition, we also promote recognition actions aimed at our employees, which start from the guarantee of a pleasant working environment to professional qualification for all.
